The programme combines the comforts and beauty of a stay in the picturesque village of S´Arraco, with the personal and friendly services of your hosts, Suzanne Slater (Hotel L’Escaleta) and Jesca Scott (walking guide). The walks offer an invigorating programme of walking and fresh Mediterranean air, which promise to work up your appetite for Hotel L’Escaleta´s mouth-watering gastro dinners prepared using the best local produce and local wines.

A mini break trip that promises to reenergize you after the winter blues, offering you an unforgettable Mallorquin springtime experience.

The Walks

S’ Arraco & Environs: The proposed walking itinerary should present no difficulty to anyone in good health and fitness who is used to hill-climbing and gentle mountain-walking. The walks all start and finish at the Hotel on foot, and the terrain is a combination of country lanes, stony footpaths and cairn marked ways. In some places short bursts of scrambling may be required! If the group want to challenge themselves there are two options for the Saturday walk.

Mountains & West Coast: The proposed walking itinerary is aimed at walkers who fancy the challenge of getting a feel for high places and deciding whether mountain tops are for you. Included in the programme is an ascent of Puig Galatzo (two options) one of Mallorca’s highest peaks at 1026 metres! Walkers should be experienced and fit and accustomed to stony terrain underfoot. Some of the walks require taxi transport to start of walk and return to Hotel (included in price).
